If reports are anything to go by, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update will come pretty soon to Motorola Moto G (2013), Moto G (2014), Moto X (2013), Moto X (2014), Moto E (1st and 2nd gen) and Moto E 4G LTE (2nd gen). The update is believed to bring bug fixes, improvements and changes.
Several reports suggest that Motorola will roll out the Android 5.1.1 update to 17 smartphones, including the Motorola Moto G 2nd Gen (2014) and 1st Gen (2013).
In addition, the company also considers DROID Mini, DROID Maxx, DROID Ultra, DROID Turbo, Moto Maxx/Turbo, Moto X Pro, Moto X (2013), Moto X (2014), Moto E (1st and 2nd gen) and Moto E 4G LTE (2nd gen), according to Gospel Herald. It is expected that the Moto X Play and Moto X Style (Moto X Pure Edition) will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system.
The Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update will bring bug fixes and changes such as fingerprint sensor, USB-Type and supports for Android Pay. It will bring more themes and options and a better Material Design with fluid animations. In addition, the Android update features a device sync, new device switch and some other enhancements.
The device switch enables a device to switch contents such as settings, apps and location to another device using NFC. On the other hand, device sync allows a device to view its content to another devices such as watches, car and television. Users can watch and listen on one device and continue to another device where content is left off.
Furthermore, the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update will bring improvements in power management, home launcher and icons, according to Venture Capital Post.
